A foundation member of the club, Creek has been adjudged the organisations Most Valuable Player in every season since the club’s inception in 2019/20.
The 31-year-old showed no signs of slowing in NBL24, amassing 20.8 points per game, alongside 6.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists throughout the campaign.
Creek was also rewarded with All-NBA Second Team honours at the recent Andrew Gaze Awards.
Phoenix head coach Mike Kelly praised Creek’s campaign and the captain’s leadership throughout tough times on court.
“Mitch’s poise and ability really shone through this year and when the chips were down, it was him leading the charge and willing the team on,” Kelly said.
“He’s a tremendous role model for our players and his commitment to the cause is something we want to instil in everyone who walks through the Heartland doors.”
